Scaffold Scope: To provide safe access for engineers to access directional fins within Aeronautical Testing Facility.

What may look like a piece of art is actually an access scaffold inside the cast iron wind tunnel here in Farnborough. We have been working with the engineers for many years on the upkeep and maintenance of this facility which was constructed in the early 1970’s and it’s fair to say that every scaffold is a bit quirky. The exercise here was to service the upper bolts on the fins and needed to be carried out over shut down periods.
